Refunds & Cancellation
How to cancel a subscription and when refunds are available, including your statutory rights as a consumer.

1. Cancelling your subscription
- You can cancel at any time from Settings → Billing in the Service.
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — monthly or annual, depending on your plan.
- You retain access to paid features until the end of the term.
2. Refunds for business customers
Subscription fees are paid in advance and are non-refundable, except where required by law or expressly stated in an order form. We will not provide partial refunds for unused time within a billing period.
3. Consumer right of withdrawal (EU / Ireland)
If you purchase as a consumer in the EU or Ireland, you generally have a 14-day right of withdrawal under the Consumer Rights Act 2022 and Directive 2011/83/EU. By starting to use the Service during the withdrawal period you expressly agree that the Service may be supplied immediately, and you acknowledge that you lose the right of withdrawal once the Service has been fully performed. For digital content and services already accessed, fees for the portion supplied may be retained.
4. Consumer cancellation (UK / Northern Ireland)
If you purchase as a consumer in the UK or Northern Ireland, equivalent rights apply under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 and the Consumer Rights Act 2015. The same immediate-supply consent applies.
5. Defective Service
If the Service materially fails to conform to its documentation, contact support@accelbooks.io. We will work in good faith to fix the issue. If we cannot, you may be entitled to a pro-rata refund for the affected period, in addition to any non-excludable statutory remedies.
6. Chargebacks
Please contact us before initiating a chargeback so we can resolve the issue. Chargebacks without prior contact may result in account suspension while the dispute is investigated.
7. Taxes
Refunds, where due, are calculated net of irrecoverable taxes and processing fees actually incurred.
8. How to request a refund
Email billing@accelbooks.io from your account email with your order ID and the reason for the request. We aim to respond within 5 business days.
9. Online dispute resolution
EU consumers may use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
